Everyone, this is Alka Nanda...
For those of you in the know, I've had a certain email address since I got online in 1995. That address contains the word "fountainhead", the name of my favorite book. So there I was, sitting at home one day checking my email when I noticed in my inbox a letter from Alka Nanda. I didn't know anyone by that name, but being bored I opened the letter. As it turns out, Alka, who lives and goes to school in India, had read The Fountainhead and just for giggles shot off an email to my address to see if it even existed and to talk to whoever might have it.
We are now in our fifth year of sporadically being pen pals, of a kind. In this time, we've talked about all kinds of things, none of them failing to be interesting and enjoyable. I've learned alot from her, and maybe she's learned a few things from me.
Just wanted to post her pic here and tell you about her because she said I wouldn't do it. Well, I did!
