Halloween Extravaganza 2004

| | TrackBacks (13)

Last night I went to Barbra's Halloween bash, but unfortunately I had forgotten to charge up the camera...so no pics can be shared. It was a good time, though, and I'm glad I went.

Tonight was a blow-out at Lee Ann's place. I didn't make the same mistake this time, so you can view the pics here. Needless to say, I was the only sober person there - which made the night a total blast.

November 1 update:

My stats continue to explode. What's up with the last five months? I'm getting a little spoiled with this. I hope it continues!

Difficult not to let the anger I feel tonight overcome this blog post and go on a rant.

But, no, I won't dignify the garbage by mentioning here.
Now - onward!

This really was another great day. Busy as hell, and crazy unexpected stuff tonight. Lunch - ah, lunch! - how did I ever live without having lunch? Soon, I'm going to be having breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. Oh, maybe a midnight snack, too.

I leave you with this thought:
*poo-tee-weet*

lunch of the gods

I feel obligated to post tonight, even though I am mother effin' worn out. And when I say mother effin' worn out, I mean tireder than heck.

A blur it could be called, a whirlwind is how it could be described. The life and times of Christopher Lincoln...

This is what I'm talking about! Errr, this is nice. This is great. This is good. This - is - beautiful.

I had to fall to finally see...

and now I am the chorus to a thousand songs.

yes, I know this is boring

Another wonderful day. Wow again. I guy could really, really get used to this...

But anyway. Next Thursday I will finally file for divorce.

That means in 69 days, I will finally not be married.

Now if I could only erase all those memories, if I could only go back in time and live the last seven years all over again they way they should have been lived. Oh well. Live and learn.

I defy any of y'all to remove this smile from my face. Give it your best shot!

The weekend was short, so short. Still gettin' over my sick from last week, so I haven't been too energetic. Still, I found enough energy to do quite a bit of stuff! Good times, good times.

By the way: if you're thinking of going to see "The Grudge", don't.

That is the funniest fucking thing I've ever heard in my life.

Really. The joke about three strings going into bar - that's funny. But this - it's so over-the-top that it will never be beaten.

Now, here's a special message:

Have no fear, the blog continues on!

I've built this place to keep you on your toes. Don't get lazy on me and think you can ease off and take a seat.

I'm the variable. I'm the unknown. Go ahead and try to solve for me. Here's a hint: your answer will be in the form of an absolute value.

Happy Birthday!

| | TrackBacks (12)

I can't be with you on this special day, but you'll be in my thoughts from the very first moment I wake up until the very last moment before I go back to sleep at the end of the day.

I've already given you your present this year, even though it's something you've already owned for many, many years. I hope it brings you as much happiness as you've given to me.

I've sent birthday hugs and kisses your way, save them and give them back to me one day soon!

I wanna be...with you...in the night time

One fever subsides and another kind of fever creeps up...

Come here, baby...
I said come here!

Let's get dirty and sweaty...I want to feel you all over me, I want to taste you, I want to hold onto your hips while you do the slow grind on top of me...I want to nibble your neck and suck on your earlobes, I want to lick your legs like a puppy, make you scream my name,I want to feel your fingernails digging into my back...

I'm so hot...just thinking about you...only you can cool this fever... but I'm so sick, the fever keeps coming back...no matter how hard we try, this fever keeps burning me up...

I think I'm gonna need long-term care, I need you to take care of me every night...

say hello to good times

It's a warm night, but a cool breeze blows through the window and the fan stirs the air.

All the lights are off, my headphones are on, I sit here at my computer and try to find the words.

This is not a whole new me. This is just the same old me. Again. After all these years. Where was I? Where did I go? I was right here all the time, I was just waiting for a miracle.

And I found it.

It's been a few days since I've written here, and it will be a bit longer before I'm able to give you a proper update.

All you need to know is that I'm floating on clouds right now.

Together again.

Those two words say it all...together again.

So alive, so happy, exactly where I want to be, exactly where I should have been all along.

I have spent the last few months doing what needed to be done: apologizing and asking for forgiveness.

I found love and understanding and support everywhere I never thought I would.

I've made some great new friends, strengthened the friendships I already had, and picked up with old friends like we'd never been apart.

My eyes have truly been opened, and I'm seeing the world in a whole new light.

I love today. And today I can see the future, clear and beautiful.

Very nearly bedtime.

It was a wonderful day, and I hate to see it end.

But no worries, because tomorrow will be another wonderful day.

I am blessed in a million different ways.

I can't think tonight, so here is a reprise of one of my favorite posts...I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Again.

if you can
do what you would like to do
say what you'd like to say
take a second to remember
take a second to think what it means to you
don't dream, stop dreaming
make it real, make time
if you can
hold that person tight
for a little while
hold that person
as long as you can
if you can, make it last
hold them while you can
because all you have is this moment
even if you can't say it, hold them for a little while
connect
don't be afraid
how many times in your life can this happen?
how many people will do this to you?
how many people will do this for you?
hold on
hold them
if you feel it, you feel it
so feel it!
it won't last forever
they won't last forever
you won't last forever
all you have is this moment
open up
it's safe
you're safe here

Travis and Kelly

I was up way too late Friday night after the Bodeco concert, so I decided to be evil and skip work Saturday. I slept in until 10:00...ahhhhhh!

Got up and hit the Sam's Club on Preston. Came back, did a few household tasks, and then lazed around on the computer for an hour or so.

Headed out to meet Travis and Kelly at 5:15. We hit Harvest Homecoming for a couple of hours, but after the gravitron ride, we decided it was time to go. Next was Rocky's Italian Grill for some dinner. Tasty food and good conversation followed, all while dining outdoors with a geat view of the river.

Finally, it was Danger Run time. I had never been involved with one of these before, but it kicks ass. It was a total blast. And I'm proud to report, we did great up til page seven of the clue book. On page seven...we hit a bit of snag. Okay, we got lost. So we quit and went home.

Added a few more pics to the photos section tonight...please welcome Chuck, Barbra, and Davalene - my Humana pals and smoke break buddies. Also note new Allison and Heather pics. And I tried to organize them a bit better.

But I've got to say, I've been a bit distracted.

My thoughts are not my own tonight.

Big changes on the way. Big, big changes on the way. And I couldn't be happier!

Allison and Heather, October 5 2004

This was a fantastic day from start to finish.

Woke up early, headache free. Thought about calling a friend, but decided against it.

Got to work early, worked steady all day.

Walked down to Riverfront Park on break with Barbra, beautiful day.

Exchanged emails all day long with a friend, and talked to her three times on the phone. Massive news!

Left work, stopped at Kroger for some bread and peanut butter, and talked to Mandy the whole trip there.

Get home and grab a bite to eat, thinking about taking a nap...when all of sudden there is a knock at the door. Who the hell?

I go to the window, don't recognize the car. So I raise the window and yell "Hello?" out the window, and someone yells back "Pizza!".

It's my girls Heather and Allison! Holy crap! So I put on some pants and we visit for awhile, then head out to look at house they are thinking of renting. While there, something very funny happens at my expense...stories will be told on this one!

Head back here and snap the photo above.

And since I didn't post last night...Travis and I continue to put things back together. He spent several hours here last week, and we talked for an hour last night on the phone. As if he and I needed any more common bonds, we now share very similar divorce stories. Here's to fucking crazy ex-wives, my man.

Sunday - a - Go - Go

| | TrackBacks (6)

It's a beautiful fall Sunday, nothin' I have to do. It's gonna be a good day.

Yesterday I was able to have much needed work done to my truck, and I once again feel safe driving it. Always a good thing. I've got a full tank of gas and tunes galore...maybe I'll go for a drive today.

I've already done laundry this morning, changed my sheets, updated my GT page, and spot cleaned the carpet downstairs.

Before I can go for a drive, there are few little projects I have lined up. Like cleaning the top of the refrigerator! And the foyer baseboards! Top that off with some vacuuming and dishes and I'll be good to go.

Tonight, I'll finish the day off by trying to remember to call Allan, and by continuing my job search in earnest.

It's gonna be a good day!

Update: 11:23 pm. It was a good day. Everything on my list from above got done (except for the job hunting...). Even called Al and talked for an hour. And I got a surprise phone call from another old friend... New set of songs on the radio.blog...
